What to do in your garden and greenhouse this June
Lift and store tulip bulbs after flowering
Gently lift your tulip bulbs with a fork after flowering and the foliage has turned yellow. Remove any remaining foliage allow the bulbs to dry and store them in a paper bag.
Support hollyhocks and delphiniums using a sturdy cane
As the summer continues, tall-growing plants such as hollyhocks and delphiniums will require supporting to protect them from wind damage.

Harvesting leafy salads is best done in the early morning or late afternoon when temperatures are cooler. This helps preserve the freshness and flavour of the greens.
