Selling what you grow
Selling what you grow in your garden is a great way to earn a little extra cash doing something you love.
We all know the cost of living is rising and doesn’t look to get much better any time soon.
So if you’ve got a spare pot or space in a raised bed, why not grow a few more veg plants and sell them. You could either sell the plant itself or what it produces.

Where to sell your fruit and veg?
- Outside your front door – might not be suitable for all but if you can setup a small table just outside your front door with a donation pot you’ll be surprised how generous people can be.
- Social media is a huge marketplace to promote and sell what you grow. You can join a local Facebook group and tell people what you’re growing, maybe even get some pre-orders in!
- Village markets – If you can grow enough – local market stalls could be a good idea. Be prepared that today, many people like to pay by card. You’ll also need to check the cost per pitch.
- Some car boots also allow fruit and veg to sold – you’ll need to check with the event organisers. These are usually cheap to do (£5-£10 per pitch).
